Birra Salento è tra i più grandi birrifici artigianali d’Italia. Voluto dall’imprenditore Maurizio Zecca, è pronto per valorizzare al massimo il territorio in cui sorge. La struttura si sviluppa su una superficie di 3.000mq, e una sala cottura della capacità di 50hl. Insieme all’Università del Salento il birrificio porta avanti il progetto agricolo per la coltivazione dell'orzo da malto coinvolgendo gli agricoltori locali a restituire vita produttiva ai numerosi terreni incolti.
